Q: How much does an air conditioning or heat pump system cost?
A: There are so many factors that affect the cost of a heating or cooling system that it is impossible to answer this question without doing an evaluation of your home. These factors include the size of the home, the condition of any existing ductwork, the type of accessories that may be needed and more. If you are replacing or renovating an existing system, Sumrall Air Conditioning will be happy to provide you with a free in-home cost estimate.

Q: How often should I have maintenance performed on my system?
A: We recommend that maintenance be performed twice per year on any heating or cooling system and certainly no less than once per year. The best times to have maintenance performed are in the spring and fall before the weather gets too hot or too cold. Sumrall Air Conditioning offers annual maintenance contracts to all of our customers.

Q: What is a geothermal system?
A: A geothermal heat pump (also known as a ground source heat pump) is a central heating and cooling system that pumps heat to or from the ground in order to heat or cool your home. A geothermal system uses the energy found in well water or in the earth itself rather than using outside air like traditional heat pumps. This type of system takes advantage of the moderate temperatures found in the ground or in well water to increase efficiency thus lowering the operational costs of heating and cooling.
